April 8, 2007 The Announcement

Hi Family & Friends,

To all who actually read this on Sunday, Happy Easter!!!!! As promised here is our update.
Well we were hoping to have job possibilities to report, however, nothing yet. We did find out more about graduation; first is BYU sure likes our money (ha ha, they charge for everything it seems), but Grant will be graduating in Aug with a minor in Math and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. He is also very excited because he also should be scuba certified when he graduates. Hurray, I thought graduation day may never come. Attached is the invitation to the graduation celebration.
This was a great and busy week for us, like always. When does life ever slow down. I am sure it doesn't. I attended a Stake Women's Conference Saturday and learned that sometimes you just have to say no, which I need to learn to do more. However, what I liked most is what you get done is what you make a priority. I think everyday I need to re-evaluate my priorities and continue to realign my life. The first thing to re-align is staying in contact with family and friends more often. Thank goodness for the advancement in technology where we are now able to share weekly updates with everyone as we could never call everyone each week and it is when it is best for them and us.
We are busy tomorrow with Church from 10-4, but hope you each find a treat from the Easter Bunny.
Let me know if the attachment didn't work. Well it is getting late and I am not sure this even makes any sense or is even English so we will sign off for this week.
Love,
Grant & Stacie

Hi All,
Grant and I have decided that it is easier just to email everyone on the status of our lives as we are so busy and don't have time to talk to each of you. (Plus we just aren't phone people, if you couldn't tell) I thought it was a great idea Andrea had and so we are implementing it.
First of all, I started a new job at Nu Skin 3 weeks ago and now realize it was definitely time for a change. Grant has said he didn't' even care if I made less because I am not as mean when I come home. I am actually happy and really enjoying what I am doing. I am now in charge of all communication for Corporate to the markets. I am also in charge of the global news letter that goes out every month and the website where we store all of our information. The position was originally to help out another guy who was overwhelmed but now he has left the company to pursue his dreams of owning his own company and so I am continually taking on more tasks and have been promised some great opportunities within the year. It was the right time and right position for me to move too.
Second, Grant has 3 more weeks left in this semester. We are ecstatic because from there it will be a few final classes and graduation in Aug. Look for more details on Easter Sunday as we hope to have a few more things defined this week. He is looking for work in turban manufacturing and has a few companies he is applying to this week. So keep us in your prayers!!! He is still doing Stress Management, which I personally think is the reason he has even been able to make it through this crazy, overwhelming, button-pushing year. However, he is taking swim and scuba before he graduates and so he will be able to do a few fun classes in the end as well.
Third, we are both so excited as we are taking a vacation during Grant's few days off from school. We are going to go to San Francisco. We have plans of stopping by the Jelly Belly Factory and the Fortune Cookie Factory. We will also go to Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf. Grant has some museum he wants to visit, but that is okay cause I get to go to Chinatown so it is a fair trade. If you have any suggestions of what we should see or do while there please send them our way.
Things are going well with us, both very busy! Please be sure and look for our update next week, Easter Sunday, you aren't going to want to miss these updates (ha ha).
Gardner's---Do any of you have the Floyd's email? Also, Dad's email? If so, can you email it to us?
Arthur's---Do any of you have Grandma Arthur's email? If so, can you email it to us?
Love you all,
Grant & Stacie
